A conference dinner will be organized on September 6. Transport to the dinner place is by boat and over the journey we will have a short tour (if weather is permitting). Return to Otaniemi is by bus.
The dinner will be held by the sea in the Round Room of Kalastajatorppa, overlooking the Gulf of Finland.
The Round room was finalized in 1939 for the Olympics of 1940 – though the Olympics were postponed due to war to 1952. Kalastajatorppa has its 100th Anniversary this year, started with a red wooden cafeteria building with new buildings built later. Many international events have been held in the place since.
Kalastajatorppa is located just a 10-minute drive from central Helsinki as well as from Aalto University, Espoo Otaniemi.
